Back from Egypt baby!

Someone asked for pictures. Well, you asked for it. :)

Us 'n' Ramses. If the left leg is forward, that means you're alive. Spitting images, right? Minus the loincloth. And the beard. And the muscles. Moving on.

How did we sleep on the train ride? One look says it all. At least one of Suzy's looks does.

Us in front of Cairo in front of the Mosque of something or other. Most likely Mohammed.

This is us inside the Mosque of Mohammed Ali. Not the boxer. You have to take off your shoes inside mosques. We got jipped. Moses didn't have to worry about getting athlete's foot.

This is us (Dad, Suz, Hez) at the bottom of Mt. Sinai smelling like camel poop (at least Suzy's pants did) but we made it to the top. Just believe. Or ask any passing Bedouin.

The Karnak Temple--one of the seven ancient wonders of the world.

oo lala

When was the last time YOU rode a camel. Huh? I thought so.

I'm pretty sure those stone blocks were monumental architecture that were pivotal to the development and progression of the Egyptian civilization and culture at the apex of the Bronze Age. Or something like that. They look kinda like non-descript blobs of stones if you ask me.

How many camels will you pay for one of these beautiful white girls? Mohammed here offers 10. (We fondly refer to him as 'Arab Johnny Lingo')

I don't know about you, but you couldn't get me to eat what Suzy's holding if someone paid me 10 camels...

On the other hand, I wouldn't mind a nice, crunchy stick of papyrus.

Let's appropriately note who is the tallest of the siblings in Egypt. Thank you.

I guess height doesn't matter in the long run. Because check out Kim and all her beaus.

Nice. This is Israel's pathetic version of Arches National Park.

We so fine.

This picture was taken shortly before the tragedy. Dad got trampled by a crazy Bedouin who got angry when he refused to hand over 50 shekels he 'owed' for taking a picture of the man and his camel. Dad never was good at reading the fine print.

We planted this tree as a memorial to Dad and we named it Mohammed, after the Bedouin.

Overrated. But, that didn't stop us from taking a picture.

Aw.

Ha ha ha ha ha. I cannot stop laughing at Heather's commentary. I have many follow up questions, though. Like, did I spot a Grandmother-like fanny pack amongst the group? And does the camel now join the hippo on the "I've pooped on Suzy" list? And how many white girls does it take to offend an archaeologist? Answer: just one named Heather calling a site "non-descript blobs." And that pyramid must have been comprised of the entire male section of the JC program...go Kim!

Great pics and even greater commentary! Hez is the funniest. I think my favorite was the nondescript blogs. HA! Great one of Mom and Dad at the end.

Just for the record, those were NOT all my beaus! Heather's just jealous that no one asked her to be on top of the pyramid.

I think the pyramid was Kim on her throne...
