Our Resident Poet

Kim's been waxing poetic over here. And here. (Lily is anxiously waiting to see if Auntie Kim will write a poem about her, too.)

One month older and balder too

I can't remember if it was Mom or Grandmother that commented on how newborns always look so wise. Whether Lily looks wise or not in this picture is debatable, but she certainly does look a little like an old man, don't you think? I am totally in love with her, and therefore, must point out her dimple on her left cheek (right side of the picture). And please ignore the spit up. Which she did right after I turned the camera on. Of course.

And in case you were wondering, she is bald. Sort of. Half bald, that is. I think I need to get bigger bows. Much, much bigger.

Amy's blessing day

Today was Amy's blessing day. She looked beautiful and behaved beautifully. Bryce gave her a very nice blessing, and a very nice name. Amy Linda Nielsen (spelled with an 'e').

And how about this photogenic family?

A close up of the star. (Is that the Wuxi finger hold?)Following the luncheon, baby blessing, and two hours with the Sunbeams, the Nielsen family took a much deserved nap. And the rest of us ate all their Thanksgiving leftovers. Congratulations, Krista and Bryce, on such a cute baby.

Just so you all know, this is the outfit that JJ gave Amy. You can see how much she loves it from her face. She is so excited to grow into her first bikini! Thanks JJ.

Come back soon, please, Woodburys. That might be worth having another baby for.

Sister confusion

Tonight we were eating dinner and Eliza looked over at Lily (who was snoozing in her carseat in the kitchen) and she asked me, "Is that Amy or Lily?"

Pictures of Lily

Announcing . . .

Lily Jean Williams

Isn't she cute?

The proud Williams Family. It's good to see that Sage and Eliza are excited about their new sister, too (although I think Janel would prefer Eliza to be a little less excited when Lily is trying to sleep . . . )

And of course, the new cousins had to meet each other right away. I think these two are destined to be best buddies for life.

Congratulations to the Williams family on an adorable new addition! It's going to be a fun time for Wilsons and Nielsens alike!

A New Arrival

Just in case you didn't hear, Lily Williams (middle name as yet unknown) decided to grace the world with her presence this morning around 5:45am!

Rather than wasting her mother's time, Lily came quickly (after only two hours of labor).

In an effort to compete with her cousin, Lily weighed in at 7 lbs 8 oz, almost the same as Amy. However, Amy seems to be winning in the hair department, as Lily was reported to be "a little bald in the front." Pictures will be forthcoming to provide a more accurate measurement of the cuteness comparisons (of course with Wilson genes, both babies are bound to be cuties!)

Congratulations to Janel for her hard work (especially without the epidural!) and to Mark, Eliza, and Sage. We're excited to welcome Lily to the family!
