The middle children

I read an article about birth order that left me thinking. It said that "Middle children often describe their birth position as 'out of place,' 'misunderstood,' 'fifth wheels,' or as 'leftovers who always got bypassed and upstaged by the younger or older siblings.'" [source]

But if you take a peek at the Wilson middle children, it seems that the older and younger children would be hard pressed to "bypass" or "upstage" Kim, Becca and Suzy. Check out what these three BYU ace students are up to in their "spare time."


Kim:
When she is not working on becoming a permanent fixture at the BYU library, Kim can be found playing the role of "favorite aunt"--pictured here at the duck pond.


Becca:
Between teaching a dozen oboe students, and working on Dad's apartments, she also managed to prepare for the Utah State Fair competition, where she competes tomorrow on oboe. Good luck! Here's a little sneak peek of Becca and Mark practicing.




Suzy:
This is the best picture of Suzy that we could come up with from the past few weeks (see below). She's been MIA, what with her recent call as RS President, and with her 7 dates a week (different guys each time). We hope she shows up for dinner on Sunday, or we might post "Have You Seen Me?" ads around campus...hopefully with a better picture. (Like this one.)

The race is on

Mark your calendars for November 5th, 2008. The race is officially on, now that Krista and Janel have exactly the same due dates.

An unbiased source is heard to have said the baby in Exhibit A looks much bigger, and is bound to come at least a week sooner, but we'll leave the voting up to you. Either way, post-Halloween is going to be a busy time around UVRMC.

Incidentally, Mark and Bryce are both being required to take a course in home deliveries (and we don't mean pizza), just in case.

Fame and Fortune for Krista

It looks like Krista's at it again. Check it out here at BYU News, where she's being recognized for getting a "Distinguished Nursing Research Award" for her Master's thesis. Way to go!

Texas, here she comes

Someone's going to Texas tomorrow to represent BYU's instrumentalists (woodwinds, brass and strings) with one other vocalist and one pianist in a musical concert for big time donors to BYU's School of Music. Go, Becca! I hope you've worked up a good arrangement of the state song, "Texas, Oh Texas." Enjoy that king-size bed, and don't forget to put your reed in your oboe when you're playing.

Spare time

This is one thing to do with a little extra summer time on your hands. It's cheap and...well...potentially hazardous to your oral health. But Jacob likes it. Now he won't have to floss at night. (How does he come up with these things?)
PS--This toothpick is in between his teeth, not stuck in his gums. And FYI, he was smiling a lot more before we asked him to open wide.

Fly Like an Eagle

After many years of scouting, a trip to Mexico, a major sports equipment collection project, and even a case of fleas, Rich is getting his Eagle Scout award! Go Richie.
Come embarrass Rich and eat some tasty treats tonight at his Court of Honor.

Becca's at it again.
Tonight, at 7:30, in the de Jong Concert Hall. An Evening of Concertos.
She's gonna be ripping it up with BYU's best orchestra, probably playing circles around them, and looking hot in her salmon dress.

Heather's doing her own little pre-show for the Utah Valley Symphony tonight, with Mark accompanying. Dad got his dream of hearing "The Swan" via the cello whenever he wants. Good luck!

And Sage has really outdone herself with her own musical training. She'll be performing on the baritone, using only her feet, in the circus sometime in the future. Stay tuned (no pun intended), and don't tell Dr. Fullmer.

Speaking of the circus, our little trapeze man, Jacob, earned some high marks on the bars today in his tumbling class. Look at that form.
